November 15, 2024–Pastor Bill’s Reading Plan

The ability to share in God's work in different places by our offerings is a great gift that God has given us.  Generosity is a way for us to worship God and show that we continue to trust him with our needs. When we receive from the LORD we also need to ask this question: What am I supposed to do with these resources I have been blessed with?  Obviously we need to pay our bills and take care of our families.  But sometimes when it comes to spending the default is to say what else can I get with I have been given by God.  Perhaps some of what we have been given is to help others.  
This is the cheerful giving that is not under compulsion, but rather because we love the LORD and we love our neighbor as ourselves.  There are many things I appreciate about our country, and one of them is the way that Americans step-up and help others in need.  This, I truly believe, comes from the Christian values that have been foundational since the founding of our nation.  In many ways our church has been able to bless others this year.  This is because of faithful giving and the generosity of the congregation.  Thank you for the ways you have given financially to the glory of God.
