April 5         Jude
Jude is the brother of Jesus.  He doesn't call himself the brother of Jesus, but a servant.  He refers to himself as the brother of James which helps us identify him as the brother of Jesus.  
Verse 9 and 14 make references to events found in no place else in Scripture.  These references actually are connected to other Jewish writings. Verse 14 comes from the Book of Enoch.  We don't have these writing in our Bibles, but Catholics include them in their Bible.  These references actually caused a long discussion about whether the book of Jude should be included in the New Testament.  Through prayer and discussion they concluded that it was in fact Scripture and should be included.  We can trust this decision because we believe that God not only guided the writing of Scripture but directed the process for inclusion when they set the New Testament.
