April 10    Revelation 5

When something was sealed it meant that it was important. It also meant that only one with authority or permission could break the seals to open the scroll.  

They say that the one to open the scroll would be the Lion from the tribe of Judah, but when John looks he sees one like a slaughtered lamb.   As a lion he had authority and power. As a lamb he was submitted to God the Father's will.  Jesus won victory through his sacrificial death on the cross.  Passover was the feast that was being celebrated during what we call the Lord's supper.  The Passover was a reminder of the Passover lamb and how God spared Israel during the 10th plague in Egypt.  Jesus himself is the final Passover lamb as he was the final and for all-time sacrifice for sin. In fact, he was the one that all others had been pointing to.  

In Heaven we see a scene that we cannot forget- Jesus is worthy of our praise.  This is not just for Heaven or worship services.  Jesus deserves our praise and worship daily.
