October 22   Romans 16

Look at all the people who Paul greets. Many of these names we have very little information about, but each one played an important role in Paul's ministry.  Paul's ministry success first and foremost comes from God working. I also believe that God brought each of these people into Paul's life and used them to build the Kingdom.  Tertius is a name that stands out because he says he wrote down this letter.  The words were Paul's but the handwriting was Tertius.  He would sit and listen to Paul speak and put the words to paper to send to the Romans.  Phoebe was going to be the one who was going to deliver the letter to Rome and she was a representative on behalf of Paul to the church.  God is always the most important in every ministry and all glory must go to Him.  God uses a variety of people in ministry and if we are obedient and do as God leads, we are an integral part of building the church up.

Don't ever undervalue the role God has for you in building the Kingdom.  Paul could not complete his mission without others.  The church cannot complete its mission without you.  God is going to build His Kingdom and he is inviting each of you to be part of that building process.  Paul's name is the most recognizable, but Paul is not Paul without Phoebe or Tertius, or Barnabas, or Priscilla and Aquilla.  And none of them are anything without God.  You don't have to be a great leader or a bold speaker to be a Kingdom Builder for the LORD.  You just need put yourself into God's hands and trust Him to use you for His purposes. There is no such thing as a small role when it is God who places in that position.
